Description

Automatic Transaction Manager (ATMgr) is a program I created for APBA’s Baseball for Windows (BBW). This program was created for the re-player so that actual transactions and lineups for a season could be entered into a file for a BBW season. You can download this program from here and/or you can download transaction and lineup files for various seasons.

Here are explanations to the descriptions you'll see by the filenames:
1)Transactions will either be All = all types of transactions are entered, Up/Down = call up and send down transactions are entered, Trade = trade transactions are entered, DL = disabled list transactions are entered, Other = other types of transactions such as waivers and military service are entered, or some combination of the above. A (?) means that dates may have been made up for some of the transactions where they were missing. A (*) means that transactions were created based on the Retrosheet data to estimate Call Up/Send Down and DL transactions that were missing.
2) Lineup File will either be Yes or No to tell if a lineup file is included.
3) Date of Last Update for the current Zip file.
4) Source will have the initials of the person who created the files. In some cases there may have been help in researching the data, but I’m not including their names though their help was greatly appreciated. The purpose of associating one person’s initials with a season is in case a second set of files is found for that same season. This way we know where the files came from. GL = Gary Leven.

Besides those who have worked on these files credit must be given to Retrosheet where much of the lineup information has come from. The play by play information used here was obtained free of charge from and is copyrighted by Retrosheet. Interested parties may contact Retrosheet at 20 Sunset Rd., Newark, DE 19711. http://www.retrosheet.org/
