Welcome! :-)
This group is mainly for owners of Celestron's "baby" Nexstar scopes - the 60mm and larger refractors, and reflectors under 8". Other scope owners also welcome. To eliminate SPAMmers, your first posting will require management approval, which may take a day or two. As long as you're posting about scopes & astronomy, from then on your posts should appear immediately.
Activities include discussion, information sharing, shoulder-crying, griping, boasting, and asking really basic questions about scope operation or astronomy in general. In the interests of a friendly and not-too-high level of e-traffic, banned activities include SPAMming, flaming, non-text messages(*), or posting full 3rd-party articles even if you may think they are interesting. Instead, please just post a link/URL to the article.
Disagreements are fine, just keep it civil - no name calling - talk as though you're addressing a very large biker in a Mexican bar - a polite biker interested in astronomy ;-)
For a great group that caters to all Nexstar products including the larger scopes (and some more experienced owners), check out "Nexstar@yahoogroups.com". Also be sure to visit Mike Swanson's great NexStar site, "http://www.NexStarSite.com".
