Hastings Creatives is an e-list for the creative and media community at the east end of East Sussex, UK. That includes everyone working in, or interested in the creative arts and media in the Hastings area. That definition is BROAD -- stretching from fine artists to those working with new media, from community groups to graphic designers and illustrators.

The aim is to provide a discussion and networking group for support and sharing of information... Do you want recommendations for a local printer or a training course? Or perhaps you want to share your thoughts about the role of the arts/media community in the regeneration of Hastings St Leonards. Maybe you've got an exhibition at a local gallery, or maybe you've just moved to the area or have just started up in business and want to let people know what services you offer.

This list is an INDEPENDENT initiative, running on a voluntary basis without funding -- although it was inspired by the creative media networking events funded by Hastings Borough Council in 2002. The list was formerly called H-C-M-C. The name was changed in July 2010 because it was felt by members that Hastings Creatives was more memorable and better branding!
