This Group is for all the 9 categories of members of Indian Society of Agribusiness Professionals with the vision of enhancing the rural incomes in India and the SAARC region by enabling access to appropriate agricultural technologies and market intelligence to the masses living in the hinterlands of India and the SAARC region. ISAP is a mechanism for the agribusiness professionals to give back some knowledge and expertise to society.ISAP is registered as a Not-for-Profit Company under the section 25 of Indian Companys Act 1956.
ISAP has been selected by Digital Partners, USA as one of the Most Promising Social Enterprises for their 2002 Award. ISAP has also received funding for its activities from a large financial institution in India and currently has over 15,000 members (of whom more than 1300 hold Ph.Ds) all over India and abroad. It has 200 chapters, 400 NGO partners, 110,000 farmers sign ups and has answered well over 10,000 queries/problems raised by members of the farming community. This is probably the largest network of its kind in the world.
