Description
This group is dedicated to the Orion StarShoot Deep-Space Color Imager.
The StarShoot CCD is a Sony color EXview HAD that does full color imaging. More details about the StarShoot Imagers are available here (including a side-by-side comparison with the Meade DSI). It comes with MaxIm DL Essentials Edition software that provides real-time focusing assistance, easy image capture and stacking, and powerful image processing tools.
The camera works with any telescope and also can be used as an autoguider for long-exposure astrophotography. Power for the camera is supplied by your computer via the included USB 2.0 cable; TEC cooling requires an external 12-volt power source.

If we don't get an answer from them; I'll ask the question next month when I make an extended visit to their Cupertino, CA store. Phil

Nope. The original StarShoot had proprietary drivers, which it appears Orion is no longer supporting. I am wondering if they would object to having the drivers

There is a link on their page for ASCOM drivers. Isn't this camera an Ascom supported device? Aren't those the 32 bit drivers for the camera? Tom P. From:
