The one thing all software vendors care a lot is piracy and illegal usage of their software. That's why they try to guard programs with different copy-protection schemes.
You see how they don't care about problems you can get, for example, Once you have several vital programs running, it seems your PPC becomes an untouchable toy.. You'r afraid to add new hardware, you can't format your storage card, soft/hard reset, you fear to change anything just to keep it work. And moreover, imagine if something happens and your software become unusable due to your PPC's broken or stolen? They'll agree to send you new one at software cost.


Being a software owner, you have your own right to be safe while using stuff you bought. It's called Fair Use. You don't need to fear now that your software will stop working and you'll never get it functional again. It's legal because you keep the softwares here on your shelf until something happened whith your software and it stoped working by vendors fault. I take no responsibility if you'll use it in illegal manner, because they are legal itself. Like gun is legal to protect your safety but not for killing people.
