Hi, Rahul;

first of all, let us 'locate' your basic skills. Robotics actually mixes some
fundamentals related to:

- electronics (analog and digital)
- control (automation)
- mechanics
- computing (programming)
- some others (ergonomics, A.T., etc.)

So, if you are a newbie for these very subjects, chances are that you should
search for books (and related knowledge) about them, too. With these areas in
mind, Robotics is just a matter of how to put them together.

The book I downloaded at www.booksbibin.tk is part if the bond between
programming and digital electronics.

Success!

You can try out Cypress PSoC1, PSoC3 and PSoC5 which have inbuilt USB. Its very easy to learn. They have programmable analog too. I was using AVR for a longtime. Now i am using PSoC for all my projects.

Hi Sunil,

Instead of building a programmer yourself I would suggest you to buy Pocket AVR
Programmer, you can find the details of it here..
http://www.sparkfun.com/products/9825

I have personally worked on it its great, have used it for programming all
sorts of AVR while building projects & as well as for uploading bootloader to
Arduino platform. As Mr. Udayan said Atmega 8 are available but not the new ICs,
the older ones have the problems of their own so we started importing
programmers instead building them. Easy Electronics is located in Basavanagudi,
Bangalore (our site is getting updated since we recently changed the server you
can still get to know more about us by visiting www.easyelectronics.in)

If you are interested & want to know more feel free to get in touch with us.

Hello dharam,
usbasp is a nice usb based burner, try it..i have built a couple of them 1.5 years ago.sending u the circuits, codes, hex and driver.if u need a single sided PCB,just ask for it...but first u need to have a serial programer pony-stk200,then u will be able to program the mega8 used in the usbasp.since mega8 s becoming rare u can use a mega48.Make sure to burn the fuse bits properly, without it the programmer will not work...if u need any info just ask...
take care

hi
I am working on a sine wave generation project with a ATmel 2560 micro
controller and a DAC.

I want few input on how to go about creating the sine wave table in
program. Any help will be appreciated.
I have more information that could be either email to person interested or
would like more information about code.

Hey Hasa,

Please check the maximum frequency that the DAC of the uC supports. It cannot be
more that a few tens of kHz normally. What do you need it for?

As to what concerns code snippets, start with a basic timer example. Then
overflow it every so often and output the new analog value to the pin.

Hi,
I am trying to interface the MAX3421e as Host controller with
microcontroller. I am getting the Timeout error for Low speed usb device and J
state for high speed usb device.

Kindly tell me, why this error is coming?
