This group discusses all aspects of digital photography: composition, processing, retouching, cameras, scanners, anything you can think about! If you have a digital camera, please share your experiences with it.

If you're thinking about getting your first camera (or an additional one), please feel free to come ask for specific opinions, while remembering that opinions are not the same as facts. Asking "Which camera should I buy" or "Do I need Nikon or Canon?" is going to start a fight, not provide any real information. "What do people think of the Nikon D40?" is a much better question, and could get more useful answers. (The same applies for post-processing equipment - "Do I need a Mac or PC?" is going to start a war, while "How much RAM do I need in a Mac for Photoshop?" may get more specific answers.)

Please read the (rather extensive) history to see if someone else had your question already. We do tend to have the same subjects (first camera, why are my photos dark/light/blank, I'm starting a photography business) repeat themselves.

You are on "moderate" when you join the group. This means you won't see your first post on the list immediately, as one of the moderators must approve it.
