Unless there's a reason to maintain some kind of key scheme, better to write the music without thinking about tonality at all - and avoid it if possible....

I'm not quite sure what you're asking, but that stereo channel has no distinct 5.1 channel info in it so it's not possible to get true 5.1 channels separately...
