Message from President:
Dear Graduates,
It’s eleven O’clock in the night, and almost freezing cold outside. I am writing to you wearing layers of clothes, with a heater turned on to avoid every bites of cold, and I am sure most of you are too. ..............but what about those who hardly have any cloth to curl up in, let go a warm shelter. However, thinking from the other point of view, it seems nature, all over again, has come up with a disaster for the poor. It looks like Mother Nature is urging us to do something at this time. This is also an opportunity for us to fulfill the wish, lying dormant in a corner of our heart, to help those whom nature is not accompanying. “Let us all unite to satisfy this desire and avail this right set of circumstances”.Helping them can be in any way we like. We may donate some money or those clothes, which are lying dumped in our old trunks or buy something new. It all depends on you. Helping is our aim, the word “how” does not come into our account.“Prothom Alo” in this case, is lending us a hand to assist us to distribute these aids to as many people as possible, in remote corners of north of this country. Remember the work is completely voluntary. If it is not possible for you to join us today, I am sure you will have many more opportunities tomorrow. However, try to give your best sort to take hold of this chance.
I am looking forward to your response by January 12, 2004.
Best wishes,
Samir K Saha, Ph.D.
