architecture, U. of California, Berkeley), Dr. K. Eric Drexler
(known as Father of Nanotechnology), Prof. John H. Holland (known
as Father of Genetic Algorithms; U. of Michigan), Prof. Ian Foster
(known as Father of Grid Computing; U. of Chicago & ANL),
Prof. Ruzena Bajcsy (pioneer/VR, U. of California, Berkeley),
Prof. Barry Vercoe (Founding member of MIT Media Lab, MIT),
Dr. Jim Gettys (known as X-man, developer of X Window System,
xhost; OLPC), Prof. John Koza (known as Father of Genetic
Programming, Stanford U.), Prof. Brian D. Athey (NIH Program
Director, U. of Michigan), Prof. Viktor K. Prasanna (pioneer,

An important mission of WORLDCOMP is "Providing a unique platform
for a diverse community of constituents composed of scholars,
researchers, developers, educators, and practitioners. The Congress
makes concerted effort to reach out to participants affiliated with
diverse entities (such as: universities, institutions, corporations,
government agencies, and research centers/labs) from all over the
world. The congress also attempts to connect participants from
institutions that have teaching as their main mission with those
who are affiliated with institutions that have research as their
main mission. The congress uses a quota system to achieve its
institution and geography diversity objectives."

One main goal of the congress is to assemble a spectrum of
affiliated research conferences, workshops, and symposiums into
a coordinated research meeting held in a common place at a common
time. This model facilitates communication among researchers in
different branches of computer science, computer engineering,
and applied computing. The Congress also encourages multi-disciplinary
and inter-disciplinary research initiatives; ie, facilitating
increased opportunities for cross-fertilization across sub-disciplines.

> Researchers create terahertz invisibility cloak. Researchers at Northwestern
University have created a new kind of cloaking material that can render objects
invisible in the terahertz range. Though this design can't translate into an
invisibility cloak for the visible spectrum, it could have implications in
diagnostics, security, and communication. The cloak, designed by Cheng Sun,
assistant professor of mechanical engineering at Northwestern's McCormick School
of Engineering and Applied Science, uses microfabricated gradient-index
materials to manipulate the reflection and refraction of light. Sun's results
will be presented May 4 at CLEO: 2011, the annual Conference on Lasers and
Electro-Optics. (April.7.2011 EurekAlert):

the objective of DNA nanotechnology. This new discipline, which combines
biology, physics, chemistry and material science makes use of the ability of the
natural DNA-strains' capacity for self assembly. Smileys or small boxes,

GENERAL INFORMATION:

CDES 2011 Conference is being held jointly (same location and dates)
with a number of other research conferences (WORLDCOMP). WORLDCOMP is
the largest annual gathering of researchers in computer science,
computer engineering and applied computing. We anticipate to have
2,100 or more attendees from over 85 countries.

WORLDCOMP 2011 will be composed of research presentations, keynote
lectures, invited presentations, tutorials, panel discussions,
and poster presentations. In recent past, keynote/tutorial/panel
speakers have included: Prof. David A. Patterson (pioneer/
architecture, U. of California, Berkeley), Dr. K. Eric Drexler
(known as Father of Nanotechnology), Prof. John H. Holland (known
as Father of Genetic Algorithms; U. of Michigan), Prof. Ian Foster
(known as Father of Grid Computing; U. of Chicago & ANL),
Prof. Ruzena Bajcsy (pioneer/VR, U. of California, Berkeley),
Prof. Barry Vercoe (Founding member of MIT Media Lab, MIT),
Dr. Jim Gettys (known as X-man, developer of X Window System,
xhost; OLPC), Prof. John Koza (known as Father of Genetic
Programming, Stanford U.), Prof. Brian D. Athey (NIH Program
Director, U. of Michigan), Prof. Viktor K. Prasanna (pioneer,
U. of Southern California), Dr. Jose L. Munoz (NSF Program Director
and Consultant), Prof. Jun Liu (Broad Institute of MIT & Harvard U.),
Prof. Lotfi A. Zadeh (Father of Fuzzy Logic), Dr. Firouz Naderi
(Head, NASA Mars Exploration Program/2000-2005 and Associate
Director, Project Formulation & Strategy, Jet Propulsion Lab,
CalTech/NASA), and many other distinguished speakers. To get a
feeling about the conferences' atmosphere, see the 2010 delegates
photos available at: www.pixagogo.com/1676934789

An important mission of WORLDCOMP is "Providing a unique
platform for a diverse community of constituents composed of
scholars, researchers, developers, educators, and practitioners.
The Congress makes concerted effort to reach out to participants
affiliated with diverse entities (such as: universities,
institutions, corporations, government agencies, and research
centers/labs) from all over the world. The congress also attempts
to connect participants from institutions that have teaching as
their main mission with those who are affiliated with institutions
that have research as their main mission. The congress uses a
quota system to achieve its institution and geography diversity
objectives."

One main goal of the congress is to assemble a spectrum of
affiliated research conferences, workshops, and symposiums into
a coordinated research meeting held in a common place at a
common time. This model facilitates communication among
researchers in different fields of computer science, computer
engineering, and applied computing. The Congress also encourages
multi-disciplinary and inter-disciplinary research initiatives;
ie, facilitating increased opportunities for cross-fertilization
across sub-disciplines.

According to "Microsoft Academic Search" (a Microsoft initiative)
all tracks of WORLDCOMP are listed as worldwide "Top-ranked
Conferences" (based on various metrics but mainly based on the
number of citations). You can access "Microsoft Academic Search" to
extract citation data for each individual track of worldcomp using
the following link: http://academic.research.microsoft.com/
As of March 4, 2011, the papers published in the proceedings have
received 14,385 citations which is a higher citation than many
reputable journals in computer science.

book/ISBN form as well as online.

Prospective authors are invited to submit their papers by uploading
them to the evaluation web site at: http://world-comp.org
Submissions must be uploaded by May 23, 2011 and they must be in either
MS doc (but not docx) or pdf formats (about 5 to 7 pages - single space,
font size of 10 to 12). All reasonable typesetting formats are acceptable
(later, the authors of accepted papers will be asked to follow a
particular typesetting format to prepare their final papers for
publication.) Papers must not have been previously published or
currently submitted for publication elsewhere. The first page of the
paper should include: title of the paper, name, affiliation, postal
address, and email address for each author. The first page should also
identify the name of the Contact Author and a maximum of 5 topical
keywords that would best represent the content of the paper. Finally,
the name of the conference (ie, MSV) should be mentioned.

The length of the final/Camera-Ready papers (if accepted) will be
limited to 7 (two-column IEEE style) pages.

Each paper will be peer-reviewed by two experts in the field for
originality, significance, clarity, impact, and soundness. In cases
of contradictory recommendations, a member of the conference program
committee will be charged to make the final decision (accept/reject);
often, this would involve seeking help from additional referees by
using a double-blinded review process. In addition, all papers whose
authors included a member of the conference program committee will be
evaluated using the double-blinded review process. (Essay/philosophical
papers will not be refereed but may be considered for discussion/panels).

feeling about the conferences' atmosphere, see the 2010 delegates
photos available at: www.pixagogo.com/1676934789

The Congress also encourages
multi-disciplinary and inter-disciplinary research initiatives;
ie, facilitating increased opportunities for cross-fertilization
across sub-disciplines.

Sad News: Prof. D.H . Staelin at MIT www.mit.edu that was two times Plenary
Speakers in WSEAS passed away in November 10. So after Caro Lucas and Ladislav
Kohout, we lose one more great personality that helped WSEAS very much with his
Plenary Lectures.

We will not give any extended deadline to any of these conferences and for any
reason. For every WSEAS conference we have at least 2 university teams in
collaboration.

Announcement of acceptance or rejection for any paper in less than 40 days for
any WSEAS Conference and in less than 60 days for any WSEAS Journal and WSEAS
Book is strictly prohibited. All papers are sent to 5 independent reviewers by
the WSEAS Organizers, Editors etc, but even if the comments of them are
available, the WSEAS entities will not announce the result of the reviews before
the aforementioned time frames. This policy also applies to any Conference where
WSEAS is the main sponsor-organizer or simply a co-sponsor. The submission forms
are taken down on the exact date announced in the respective conference pages,
at 23:59 Greenwich time, and no extensions is given.

Abstracts, drafts and papers in non-WSEAS format are automatically rejected.

Plenary Speakers cannot upload plenary lectures after the expiration of the
deadline.

http://www.worldses.org/ feedback.htm and http://www.wseas.org/reports/

All submitted papers will have opportunities for consideration for the Special
Issues or Regular Issues of several journals (some of them belong to ISI
category). The selection will be carried out during the review process as well
as at the conference presentation stage. Submitted papers must not be under
consideration by any other journal or publication. The final decision will be
made based on peer review reports by the guest editors and the Editor-in-Chief
jointly.

Impact: See also the importance of these conferences can be proved by the impact
of these conferences in previous years: See, please http://www.wseas.org/reports

Other Important Benefits:
1) A very strong and important feature is that the NAUN and WSEAS is going to
give you a new username and password WITHOUT EXPIRY DATE for on-line access in
the WSEAS Conference proceedings FOR EVER.

2) Rich cultural and social part as usual. The importance of these conferences
can be also proved by the impact of these conferences in all the previous years,
1996 -- 2008: See, please http://www.wseas.org/reports/

What did the Previous Plenary and Other Invited Speakers say for the NAUN and
WSEAS Conferences:

" I was in the Secretariat Desk of the WSEAS Conference (December 2009, in
Tenerife) and
I saw the catalogue of the conference participants. It was amazing the high
rejection rate of the papers. I estimate that for every 10 papers, 4 were
accepted and 6 were rejected.
That means that the WSEAS Conferences are very prestigious"

An important mission of
WORLDCOMP is "Providing a unique platform for
a diverse community of
constituents composed of scholars, researchers,
developers, educators, and
practitioners. The Congress makes concerted
effort to reach out to
participants affiliated with diverse entities
(such as: universities,
institutions, corporations, government agencies,
and research centers/labs)
from all over the world. The congress also
attempts to connect participants
from institutions that have teaching as
their main mission with those who are
affiliated with institutions that
have research as their main mission. The
congress uses a quota system to
achieve its institution and geography
diversity objectives."

One main goal of the congress is to assemble a
spectrum of affiliated
research conferences, workshops, and symposiums into a
coordinated
research meeting held in a common place at a common time. This
model
facilitates communication among researchers in different fields
of
computer science, computer engineering, and applied computing.
The
Congress also encourages multi-disciplinary and
inter-disciplinary
research initiatives; ie, facilitating increased
opportunities for
cross-fertilization across
sub-disciplines.

MEASURABLE SCIENTIFIC IMPACT OF WORLDCOMP:

As
of November 23, 2011, papers published in WORLDCOMP set of proceedings
have
received 15,860 citations. In recent months (March to November 2011),
there
had been 1,475 citations to WORLDCOMP papers (about 164 citations per
month).
The above record is significant (thanks to the authors). As the
result of
high impact (based on citations) of WORLDCOMP papers, "Microsoft
Academic
Search" has listed each individual track of the congress among its
compiled
list of "Top Conferences". The citation record of WORLDCOMP set
of
proceedings is in fact higher than the citation data of many
reputable
journals in computer science and computer engineering. (The above
citation
data does not include citations to WORLDCOMP papers published in
2011; thus,
it is highly probable that the actual number of citations is
higher;
citation data was obtained from http://academic.research.microsoft.com/ )

Subject: World's biggest computer science conference
WORLDCOMP is the world's biggest computer science conference
http://www.world-academy-of-science.org/Recently WORLDCOMP has been proven to be
the biggest fake (bogus) conference on earth! Visit the website
http://copy-shake-paste.blogspot.com/2012/02/fake-conference-worldcomp.html
written by a famous plagiarism researcher Prof. Debora Weber-Wulff from Germany
(Google her name for details) and follow the link to see why WORLDCOMP is a fake
conference.
WORLDCOMP's Chairman has disappeared without notice from the conference website
since March 12, 2012 (click on the Contact information or anywhere on
WORLDCOMP's website and you notice that there is no conference chair's name and
address). It is very strange but why he disappeared?
Hamid Arabnia (a professor of computer science in the University of Georgia
(UGA), USA) is the founder and chairman of WORLDCOMP for more than a decade and
he runs the conference primarily for registration fee collection. He accepted
almost all submitted papers (more papers, means more registration fee!) without
any review (but tricking the authors that there is a review). According to an
analysis
http://ktwop.wordpress.com/2012/03/03/intimidation-attempts-prove-that-worldcomp\
-is-a-scam/#more-7769 he has earned 10-15 million US dollars from registration
fee alone (money from sponsors is not added to this).
Since WORLDCOMP has been proven to be fake, it looks Hamid Arabnia is concerned
of lawsuits and blames/insults from researchers all over the world but at the
same time, he is determined to run this sham conference somehow (for
registration fee). It seems, this is the reason why he disappeared from
WORLDCOMP's website and he is now running the conference anonymously. WORLDCOMP
is the first conference in the entire world that is running without the name of
its chairman/coordinator (and his physical address/affiliation) on the website!
The draft paper submission deadline for WORLDCOMP is silently extended from
March 12 to March 27, 2012. The deadline may be extended more times to get more
papers (means, more registration fee in to the pocket). As of March 12, 2012,
there are no program committee members, no keynote speakers, no steering
committee members, no organizing committee members, and of course, there is no
chairman/coordinator! Why is Hamid Arabnia still running this fake conference?
(except for registration fee).
If Hamid Arabnia is running this conference for academic/professional purpose,
we ask him to put his academic/professional affiliation (ie, his UGA
affiliation) along with his name on WORLDCOMP website. We also ask him to answer
all the questions at
http://copy-shake-paste.blogspot.com/2012/02/more-questions-on-worldcomp.html
Several authors who published papers in previous WORLDCOMPs are very much
worried about their CVs. Hope this information is helpful in case you have plans
to submit a paper to WORLDCOMP (that has more than 20 international
conferences).
See http://sites.google.com/site/worlddump1 for more information.
If none of the previous links work then search the internet with any of the
following words: worldcomp fake OR hamid arabnia fake OR hamid arabnia bogus
conference OR worldcomp bogus conference
Sincerely,
Will Buren
PS: Hamid Arabnia may soon “bring” another person (his puppet) as the
chairman/coordinator (but Hamid Arabnia is the person who actually runs the
bogus conference from behind the scenes). In the worst case (eg., if Hamid
Arabnia's disappearance creates a problem to WORLDCOMP's existence), he may
reemerge as the chairman/coordinator but without his UGA affiliation.
