Key Tasks
As a member of the group you will be involved in development in all parts of the
software lifecycle including requirement analysis, work breakdown, estimating,
design, coding, unit and integration test coding, defect fixing, and supporting
the project.
Qualifications and education
Essential qualifications:
B.E. / B.Tech / MCA or equivalent qualification in technical discipline.
Experience
Essential experience:
1. Minimum 3 years software development industry experience
2. Minimum 2 years embedded C++ experience
3. Solid Object Oriented Design experience at system and component level
4. HTTP / UPnP knowledge and hands on experience
Experience with related technologies, e.g. Telnet, FTP, TCP/IP & WSP Protocols,
HTML, XHTML & XML Specifications
Desired experience:
1. Hands-on experience with related technologies, e.g. Telnet, FTP, TCP/IP & WSP
Protocols, HTML, XHTML & XML Specifications
2. Knowledge of URI syntax
3. Symbian OS experience
4. Symbian Internet and Web Services Technologies knowledge
5. Knowledge of apache servers (to understand the testing suites)
6. Member of an appropriate industry body: OMA, W3C or IETF
7. Previous experience of working with remote teams
Developing software for mobile telephony devices.
Specific skills
Essential skills:
1. Object oriented design techniques
2. Excellent C++ skills
Real time embedded system experience
