!!!!!!! THIS MAILING LIST IS CHANGING !!!!!!!
(read below about how to continue receiving jobs via email)
As of February 1st 2000 - the Programmer-Jobs mailing list on the
onelist.com web site will no longer deliver jobs via email. The Jobs For
Programmers web site has come up with an improved way to deliver the same
jobs as were previously delivered via this mailing list. Read the
instructions below to learn what to do:
WHAT WAS WRONG WITH THIS MAILING LIST?:
We received a great many requests from recipients of this mailing list
saying "Just send me jobs in my area" or "just send me C++ jobs".
Unfortunately this level of customization was not available via the
onelist.com web site.
WHAT IS REPLACING THIS MAILING LIST?
The Jobs For Programmers web site now has a feature called "JOB AGENTS" that
let you search for jobs with your own criteria and then save that search.
The search is then automatically run on our site each day and any new /
matching jobs (posted in the last day) are emailed to you. This will allow
you to streamline the list of jobs being sent to you and customize it to
your own unique requirements.
HOW DO I CREATE A "JOB AGENT" ?
In order to receive any jobs via email from this point on, you will need to
follow these instructions closely:
1) Visit our web site's job search page at:
http://www.prgjobs.com/jsearch.html
2) Enter your own search criteria on that page and click
the "Search Now" button at the bottom of the page.
3) At the top of the search results page you will see a bright
yellow box with a place for you to type in your email address.
4) Enter your email address in that box and click the button
that says: "Create a Job AGENT for this search".
That's it - you've just created a Job Agent and you will begin receiving
daily emails alerting you of new jobs that match your search criteria!!
WHAT WILL BECOME OF THE OLD MAILING LIST?
Our mailing list at Onelist.com will remain inactive for several weeks but
will return as a "what's happening on the JOBS FOR PROGRAMMER web site" news
list after that. You are welcome to remain on the list, however - you will
no longer receive jobs via the list.
