THIS IS A WORK-AT-HOME PROGRAMMING JOB:

Position: Technical Writer
Location: Dallas/FT Worth Area
Term: Permanent or Contract
Additional: Possible work at home arrangement, flexible hours

The responsibilities for this position include researching, developing,
planning, and writing/editing a variety of paper and on-line documentation,
working with product development teams and information development peers. Writes
and edits printed and online technical documentation. Ensures that all documents
are technically and mechanically accurate, consistent with internal style
guidelines, and consistent with regard to audience clarity, organization,
readability, and completeness.
This technical writer will be responsible for organizing, designing the flow of
and integrating all engineering documentation, design documentation and other
relevant materials into a clear and comprehensive set of documents for our end
users. Experience working with large engineering teams on complex projects is
essential. This individual will need to work closely with developers. Experience
in designing and organizing help systems and web pages for large projects is a
plus. A strong sense of ownership, strong interpersonal and communication skills
are required.
Good understanding and knowledge of technical writing and editing. Good
knowledge and understanding of computer technology (internal
components/hardware). Thorough knowledge of grammar, spelling, and punctuation.
Action-oriented. Ability to multitask and work toward multiple priorities and
goals. Good understanding of need for goals and strategies for achieving high
standards while still meeting deadlines and keeping costs down. Ability to
analyze and resolve complex problems, making clear recommendations for
solutions.
Specific Skills Required:

· RoboHelp development experience.
· 4 to 5 years experience, technical writing
· B.S.; B.A. in with experience writing technical documentation
· Excellent Communication Skills
· Strong HTML skills
· Understanding of basic programming concepts (no programming required)
· Excellent writing, editing, and organizational skills
· Ideal candidate will have experience developing documentation for customer
facing applications tools

Responsibilities:
· Create HTML Help systems for customer facing applications in property
appraisal and tax collection industry
· Convert existing documentation in HTML format into HTML Help.
· Work with developers to refine and expand existing documentation.
· This position might also have additional responsibilities in creating online
training system for current customers.
