Immediate VB Developer opening (can work remotely)

Location: Columbia, SC and Charlotte, NC

Type of Work: Remote

Duration: 3 – 6 months with a potential to go up to 18 months.

Client is looking for Sr. Visual Basic 6.0 developer with strong application
development experience.



Overview: Project is basically working on Administrative Application catering to
Legal and Insurance Department. Application is built in Visual Basic 6.0 and MS
Access Database. Reporting tool used is Crystal reports. Client is also planning
to migrate the application to Microsoft VB.net platform in near future.



Responsibilities:

· Candidate should be able to work on the Visual Basic 6.0 code,
creating, enhancing and testing the code and cleaning the existing code for
better performance, usability and results. Should have some experience in VB.net
as the application will be migrated to VB.net in near future.

· Experience in MS Access database, creating documents and tables.

· Experience in Crystal Reports for reporting needs.

· Adhere to Virtual Task Management S/W tool and work under schedule set
forth by management.

· Must be able to handle situations and escalate to upper management if
needed.

· Good communications are a must. Self starters.

· Ability to work from home office and work well with Virtual team.

· Must be open to work onsite upon request by the client. (after initial
3 – 6 months)



Interview process:

Candidates will be screened telephonically on their technical and inter-personal
skills. If they pass the telephonic screening, they will be given a sample code
to work on and based on their results they will be selected or rejected.
