THIS JOB ALLOWS PARTIAL TELECOMMUTING:

Location: Calgary
Duration: 2 years

* Overall management of project and sustainment activities of the
following modules of the GPI program:
o Retirement/replacement of mainframe systems related
to geology and reserves business functions
o Development of functions to support geology and
reserves business processes
o Management of one or more business transformation
initiatives, with the objective of achieving a state of business readiness
for the timely inception of one or more IT projects.
o Management of IT projects which may be a combination
of software construction, COTS procurement and integration, or a blend of
the two.
o Adoption and championing of processes, standards and
best practices that exist both within the program team and within the
branch as a whole.
* Project management activities including, but not limited to the
following:
o Project planning and execution using the EUB
standard software development methodology and tools - Rational Unified
Process (RUP)
o Collaborate with the GRP Program Project Manager to
determine strategy, approach, staffing requirements, risk assessment, and
issue resolution as part of the GRP Program.
o Project and sustainment resource management
o Regular project status updates to the Project
Management Committee (PMC) on deliverables, resources, budget/cost, and
key issues for resolution
o Various stakeholder engagements to ensure
appropriate communication and action is taken to address business and
cross-project requirements, including enterprise initiatives
o Facilitate criteria evaluation and coordination of
Vendor selection process for Geological solutions .
