RAPTOR CONSERVATION is the official e-mail discussion group (mailing list) of WWGBP, the World Working Group on Birds of Prey and Owls, for anybody seriously interested in the study and conservation of diurnal and nocturnal birds of prey (Falconiformes and Strigiformes) world-wide.
To join this group please send an email to WWGBP@aol.com telling us your background and interests.
By using this Group, you can send information to the entire group of interested people. In addition to e-mail "listbot" functions, this group facilitates a persistent archive for past messages, files, bookmarks, polls, chat, calendaring, and databases. Members are invited to add files, bookmarks, etc. at their pleasure.
The listserver "Raptor-Conservation" is unmoderated which means that any member can send an email to the address Raptor-Conservation@yahoogroups.com which will be automatically distributed immediately to the over 1400 members of the group world-wide.
As with other such groups, some people distribute messages which are not related to the topic of our listserver, which can be regarded as spam, which are insulting other members or which are otherwise to be regarded as undesirable.
Any member who feels that a mail which has been distributed should not have been sent to all the group members is kindly requested to copy that mail and send it to
WWGBP@aol.com
WWGBP will than check that mail and take a decision which can lead to e.g. ask the member to refrain from such mails in the future, ban him from the group etc.
For unknow reasons some mails end up in the spam filter of Yahoo. If a mail has been sent and not been distributed after some time, please send it to
WWGBP@aol.com
