Neil, I very much doubt you have a PM motor in an older 120 VAC lawnmower, most likely its an AC/DC commutator motor. The again....I am guessing...so anything...

You should be suspicious. http://www.green-trust.org/windpowercalc/ says that it would take 25+ mph winds to produce 600 watts. Most of us don't ever see that....
