A forum for those interested in visual and photographic observations of Aurora Borealis (Northern Lights) over the southern U.S. Science professionals and amateur space/earth science enthusiasts are welcome.
Predictions and observations of low latitude aurora along with current solar events and geomagnetic storm conditions that could result in rare sightings of the Northern Lights over the southern U.S. are discussed. The group provides aurora watchers in the southern U.S. a place to coordinate before, during, and after intense geomagnetic storms with the goal of increasing successful observations.
