Make sure you have the latest OS Update (go to the "Updates" app and
upgrade if necessary).

The latest software allows you to simply tap on the text of the message
you want to forward and select "Forward" from the menu that comes up.

Hope this helps.

FYI, Pre Central Forums seems to be all over this problem. One
suggestion was turn off backups and ignore the Will Be Deleted
message, since you can then do a Manual Backup. There is some
concern that you can't restart backups.
One guy said of & on fixed it for him. Others are afraid to try.

Highly unlikely.

I've reconfigured/added/remove exchange account, bookmarks, apps, etc.
Something would have kicked in a backup by now.

Been thinking about this. What if it's smart and only backs up each
day if you've added/changed something in the list of data that is
supposed to be backed up?

For example, I only have a couple things going to my Palm profile,
including memos & tasks. I don't use those very often, and all the
rest of my data are either media (not backed up) or synced to the
cloud (e.g., Google services).

That a possibility?

My impression is that there are 2 8GB
memories. One is the accessible USB drive that
you see when you plug in. Backing that up seems
pretty(sort of) easy, but what about the "hidden"
8GB, which seems to contain all the other stuff?

I`m tending to do my own `forced` backup about once a week just to be on
the safe side, after all, it doesn`t cost anything.

IMAP would be the newer old fashioned way to handle this (the less old
fashioned ways being Exchange and Gmail) but I believe Comcast's new
Zimbra-based email system does not (yet?) support IMAP.

I access my comcast email account from both my Pre & an email client
at home. The Pre is set up to NOT sync deleted email from the
server, since I want to deal with most of them when I get home. The
home email client is set to delete emails from the server, and this
works properly. I was hoping that the Pre would sync its inbox with
what was remaining on the server. If it doesn't, I end up with LOTS
of stuff in the Pre's inbox (100's that I have to swipe/delete). If
not automatic, is there a way to force this type of sync?

TIA

I can't say I check every day (or even close to it), but I just
checked and my last backup was 2:28 this morning.

I'm on the newest Pre OS 1.3.1 and checked Backups the other day and
it says ON and backed up daily. But today (12/20) it shows the last
backup as 12/18.

I looked at it on 12/18 and its last backup was over a week
before. Backup Now works, but it seems like Automatic ISN'T.

Anybody else noticed this?

"After a brief private testing period, Palm`s interesting Ares
software development package has made its way into a public beta
phase. Breaking tradition from Mojo -- Palm`s other webOS SDK -- the
big news with Ares is that the dev environment is fully web-based with
no additional tools needed for apps to get whipped into reality. Not
only does that make getting started a breeze (theoretically, anyway),
but Palm thinks that this is the way to bring mobile development to a
whole new category of folks who may not come from traditional dev
backgrounds -- they want to pull in web geeks who`ve got the ideas and
design experience but not necessarily the hardcore coding background
that you`d normally need to take the next Air Hockey to production."
